Experience, Innovation and Teamwork

Carabetta Management Co., an Affirmative Action & Equal Opportunity Employer, believes in providing opportunities to our employees by providing continuing education to our employees from the moment they are hired.  Carabetta seeks to provide a working environment in which all employees share an atmosphere of mutual respect and enjoy the opportunity to grow professionally without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, familial status, age or disability.  Carabetta's staff is trained to:  be responsible; respect residents and co-workers; communicate; and to maintain overall integrity in their job.

Carabetta's construction project managers, compliance managers, accountants and all other management personnel are well-versed in the requirements that ensure full compliance with State and Federal Fair Housing Laws, as well as earning professinoal designations from New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA), National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA), National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), Theobold Tax Credit Certification, Spectrum Tax Credit Certification, and are Active Members of various Chambers of Commerce throughout Connecticut.  Carabetta specifically focuses on three areas of training:

  • Compliance
  • Maintenance
  • Leasing

Over 25 years ago, Joseph F. Carabetta instituted a maintenance training program, which was years ahead of its time, by creating a classroom/training mobile facility.  There, maintenance personnel attend "mini" courses.  The courses are designed to familiarize maintenance staff with the basics of preventative and curative "hands-on" practice on all of the standard maintenance equipment used universally throughout Carabetta properties.

Regular and periodic in-house classes are held and staff members are given the opportunity to attend outside professional training seminars on such important issues as compliance with HUD Fair Housing Affirmative Action, Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs, sexual harassment, lead disclosure and other courses designed to educate and raise awareness levels and competence among the leasing and administrative staff at Carabetta.  All of this is done to provide a basis for advancement and, most important, "customer-friendly" service.

As CEO, Joseph F. Carabetta is personally committed to the effective implementation, monitoring and enforcement of ourAffirmative Action Policy and directs that the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer of this firm and all supervisory and managerial personnel implement, monitor and enforce this program with the same dispatch and expertise normally applied and expected in their other job duties.
