Carabetta Management Co., an Affirmative Action & Equal Opportunity Employer, believes in providing opportunities to our employees by continuing to train our employees from the moment they are hired. For all positions, whether the person is hired for our maintenance staff, our trade specialist staff, or our leasing and administrative staff, Carabetta conducts ongoing, regular training designed to allow for improvement and advancement of a loyal, dedicated, and well-versed, capable team of employees.
Carabetta especially focuses on three areas of training:
Over 20 years ago, Joseph F. Carabetta instituted a maintenance training program, which was years ahead of its time, by creating a classroom/training mobile facility. There, maintenance personnel attend "mini" courses. The courses are designed to familiarize maintenance staff with the basics of preventative and curative "hands-on" practice on all of the standard maintenance equipment used universally throughout Carabetta properties - water closet, bathtub, shower, sink, faucet, appliances, smoke detectors, storm windows, thermostat, aquastatic controls, electrical switches and air conditioner valves. Our maintenance staff have an opportunity to examine, practice with and learn about actual Carabetta maintenance hardware and procedures during class and hands-on sessions that range from 1-day seminars to 2-week scheduled class sessions at the mobile facility.
Regular and periodic in-house classes are held and staff members are given the opportunity to attend outside professional training seminars on such important issues as compliance with HUD Fair Housing Affirmative Action, sexual harassment, lead disclosure and other courses designed to educate and raise awareness levels and competence among the leasing and administrative staff at Carabetta. All of this is done to provide a basis for advancement and, most important, "customer-friendly" service.
As CEO, Joseph F. Carabetta is personally committed to the effective implementation, monitoring and enforcement of our Affirmative Action Policy and directs that the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer of this firm and all supervisory and managerial personnel implement, monitor and enforce this program with the same dispatch and expertise normally applied and expected in their other job duties.
