The Carabetta Companies is widely integrated, offering in-depth internal capabilities in the areas of site evaluation, acquisition, design and planning, financing, construction and management. As a result of our flexibility and ability to integrate, we are able to utilize the most current advances in residential community development.
Carabetta incorporates each of the major components of real estate into its organization which allows Carabetta to achieve a high degree of coordination among the basic functions of our business and convert ideas on paper into real property. Once developments are conceived, we buy the land or property, finance the deal, and then we build projects and manage them. We work with many different counterparts along each step of this process, including architects, city planners, engineers, surveyors, inspectors, contractors, and more.
Carabetta has financed over $1 billion in HUD and government-insured funding and state and federal tax credit equity. Our portfolio includes over 20,000 units of multifamily housing, elderly housing, subdivisions of single family homes and nearly 6,000 units of high-rise buildings, some as high as 22 stories.
With key experience and track records in development and due to the economics of “acquiring-versus-building,” combined with historically low cost of debt and the multitude of available properties, Carabetta has embarked on a campaign to acquire and rehabilitate additional units nationwide.
